  • I can't remember that we decided to remove the pages for the actual "episodes" themselves. I know I didn't want a lot of actors and directors who hadn't worked on films from the show, but didn't we want to keep the pages for the RiffTrax riffs of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians and stuff like that? At least anything that has a connection like that to the show? (re-riffs, etc.)Darth Prefect (talk) 17:00, April 27, 2018 (UTC)

    • I actually don't remember where we landed on that. I assumed that it was more logical and streamlined to just link to the other Wikis in all cases rather than on a case-by-case basis. I'll defer to you, though.

SCCTM is certainly a unique case.

    • Okay. Keep with the actor cleanup and don't worry about restoring any of the deleted articles. I'll bring back any I feel are worth it.

While we're talking, though, I looked over the CT wiki. It's very sparse. Do you think it's worth maintaining separately at all? Do you see it as having value? Or should we just forget about it and take everything on here. It's not like the RiffTrax wiki, which is bustling.

    • Admittedly, the CT Wiki is limited, but I prefer having it as a separate entity if only to avoid the perception that it's a lesser project.

At one point in the past, you made reference to wanting to avoid "mission creep" on the MST3K wiki, and that has stuck with me.

    • Yes, I can see that. And we can always pull it in if it ever really lies fallow.

    • Oh, and don't forget I created a template for linking to the RiffTrax wiki. (Like this: The Bride and the Beast - {{RiffWiki|The_Bride_and_the_Beast|The Bride and the Beast}}. It may or may not be preferable to doing the external link thing.

    • To be honest, I find templates like that difficult to work with. It just means more code to deal with, which is not my specialty.

    • Another thought- I tend to think that the pages for the 4 Film Crew projects would be more appropriately placed on the Rifftrax Wiki, as TFC is closer to RT format and cast-wise. What's your position?

    • I prefer the templates because they are easier to read and update when using the raw code, as I do. Anything works, of course, so use whatever works best for you,

And I find TFC to be a lot closer to MST3K than it is to RT. It has a fictional backstory, host segments, etc. while RT is literally just the guys themselves making jokes.
