Henry Silva (born September 15, 1928) is a retired actor of Sicilian and Italian descent who became interested in storytelling while growing up in Brooklyn. He started out doing heavy roles similar to the likes of Charles Bronson. After a few plays at The Actor's Studio, he got breakout roles in films like The Manchurian Candidate, Sharkey's Machine, Alligator, The Plainsman, The Hills Run Red, Ocean's Eleven (as well as the 2001 remake with George Clooney where he made a cameo as a different character), The Violent Breed, Chained Heat, Above the Law, Cannonball Run II, South Beach (with Fred Williamson and Peter Fonda), Code of Silence (with Chuck Norris), Dick Tracy and Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai.

TV credits include voice-overs for cartoon shows and live-action shows like "The F.B.I." and "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" (with Thom Christopher). He also had a small role in the series that eventually became San Francisco International.
