John Humphreys (January 19, 1948-June 29, 2022) was born in Huntington, West Virginia. He was misattributed as "John Humphries" in the credits of his movie, Teen-Age Strangler.
Humphreys lived in the small town where Teen-Age Strangler was filmed and was not a trained actor.
He later attended the first ConventioCon ExpoFest-A-Rama in 1994. He recounted his experiences with the production, including an explanation of his histrionic performance.
Humphreys passed away at home in June 2022. He was 74 years old.
