Deep Ape is the setting of the Mads host segments for the first four episodes of season 8. Basically a future version of Deep 13, it was used by Pearl Forrester, Professor Bobo and some other apes.
History
When the Satellite of Love returned from the edge of the universe, it was mysteriously pulled back to Earth's orbit. Mike and the Bots attempt to contact Deep 13, but instead find a lab run by intelligent, evolved apes in the year 2525. The lab is run by Professor Bobo and Dr. Peanut and they proceed to send Mike and the Bots cheesy movies in accordance with "Ape Law" handed down by the Lawgiver.
When bomb-worshiping human mutants attempt to repair their nuclear warhead, Mike gives them advice that leads to the destruction of not only Deep Ape, but the entire Earth.
Behind the scenes
Though referred to onscreen as "The Lab", offscreen it has been referred to by fans and crew as Deep Ape, as it was the first replacement lair for the Mads after Deep 13.
The location, by whatever name, is an elaborate parody of the Planet of the Apes franchise, including its destruction, which is taken from the conclusion to the second film, Beneath the Planet of the Apes.
