Cheryl Lynn "Rainbeaux" Smith (June 6, 1955 – October 25, 2002) was an American actress who was active in the 1970s and the first part of the 1980s.
Smith appeared in the 1978 movie Laserblast, playing the role of Kathy Farley. The movie was featured in 1996 on MST3K as the 7th season finale. During her relatively short career she played roles in a number of B movie films, including Caged Heat, Phantom of the Paradise, The Swinging Cheerleaders, Revenge of the Cheerleaders, and The Pom Pom Girls.
Smith also appeared in The Incredible Melting Man, however her scene was cut from the MST3K version due to sexual content. In the scene she is a model taking pictures out by the lake, when the photographer forces her to take her top off. She tries to fight him off as he pulls her top off, when during the struggle she runs into the decapitated body of the fisherman. Her scream is briefly heard in the MST3K version due to bad cutting. Despite the cut, she is still briefly scene when Ted and Michael appear on the scene where she's seen covered by a blanket in the back of a police car.
In the 1980s Smith unfortunately became addicted to heroin, an addiction which would destroy her career. Smith would be arrested several times for drug related offenses and served time in prison. In 2002 Smith died due to complications from liver disease and hepatitis which had resulted from her addiction to heroin.
