Lloyd Vernet "Beau" Bridges III (born December 9, 1941 in Los Angeles, CA, USA) is an American actor and director. Bridges appeared in the 1965 film Village of the Giants as Fred - a greedy young opportunist who works with a group of delinquents to steal a substance that increases the size of animal lifeforms.

Bridges is the son of actor Lloyd Bridges and his wife Dorothy Simpson Bridges and is the elder brother of Jeff Bridges of Tron and The Big Lebowski fame.

Bridges has been working in acting since childhood. During the 60s he appeared in television series such as National Velvet, The Fugitive, and Bonanza. Bridges appeared in movies such as Greased Lightning and Norma Rae. He starred opposite his brother Jeff in the 1989 film The Fabulous Baker Boys. Bridges continues to make appearances in both television and movies.

In 2011, Bridges, his brother Jeff, his late father Lloyd, Jerry Coleman, Bob Feller and Brian Lamb were honored with the Lone Sailor Award by the United States Navy Memorial. This award is given to veterans of the Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard who have distinguished themselves in their civilian careers.

In November of 2015, RiffTrax released the VOD riffing treatment for the 1989's The Wizard.
